The Honest Part
Why These Cost More
Grass-fed butter costs about three times what shortening costs. Pasture-raised eggs cost roughly double factory eggs. Real vanilla costs many times what the artificial stuff costs, and real chocolate is not close to the price of chocolate-flavored coating.
A commercial bakery swaps those out because at ten thousand units the difference is a line on a spreadsheet. We bake in batches of six. The difference is the entire point.
