for a Party?
Plan on 1.5 to 2 cookies per person. Go 1.5 when there are other desserts on the table, 2 when cookies are the dessert. Then round up to a multiple of 6, because that is how we bake them. For 20 guests that is 30 to 42 cookies. For 50, it is 78 to 102.

Kids do not stop at one. Count every kid at 2, even when there is cake.
Cookies are the only dessert
No cake, no pie, nothing else sweet on the table. 2 per person. No debate.
The party runs long
Open houses and all-afternoon backyard parties mean people circle back for a second one hours later. Use 2.
People take one for the road
They will. A cookie in a napkin on the way out is the last thing your guests remember about the party. Count it.
Stay inside 1.5 to 2. Past 2 per person you are buying leftovers. Not the worst outcome. Sealed tight, they keep 3 days on the counter and 3 months in the freezer. How to store cookies covers it.

Three Things Behind Every Number
Batches of 6
Every order is a multiple of 6. Every flavor comes in batches of 6, so a 42 cookie order can be 24 chocolate chip and 18 cinnamon roll. The math always rounds up to the next batch, never down.
48 to 72 Hours Ahead
We bake to order in a home kitchen in Scottsdale. Nothing sits on a shelf. Order at least 48 to 72 hours before you want to pick up, then grab it at Kierland Commons, every day 10am to 5pm. Card only, no cash.
Big Headcounts
Feeding 100 or more? Email hello@1cookieco.com with your headcount and your date. Order 6 or order 600. Same real butter, same organic flour, same oven. The big order guide walks through it.
